Middle PE Cooling Fabric

Where Does Its Cool Touch Come From?

The refreshing cool feel of Middle PE Cooling Fabric originates from the fiber itself, not from post-spray coating or surface chemical finishing.

PE (polyethylene) cooling fiber is a cool-touch yarn made of polyethylene material. It features an ultra-smooth texture, comfortable handfeel, bright luster, and excellent stain resistance. The fiber has outstanding heat absorption capacity and can absorb a large amount of heat. Compared with cotton and ordinary polyester, bedding or garments made from PE cooling fiber show better heat absorption performance and lower fabric surface temperature upon skin contact.

What Does “Middle PE” Mean?

“Middle PE” refers to the medium molecular weight grade of PE cooling filament raw material in the fabric. PE raw materials are classified by molecular size into low, medium and ultra-high molecular weight grades.

We select medium-molecular PE chips for spinning. This medium molecular weight balances three key properties: cooling sensation, yarn strength and wash resistance.

  • Low-molecular PE: Easy to cause yarn breakage; cooling effect fades quickly after washing.
  • Ultra-high molecular PE: Too expensive and not suitable for spinning.

Medium-molecular PE is the optimal choice for cooling bedding fabrics. Its cooling sensation is an inherent physical property of the fiber, not a post-coating spray. The fabric can retain the cooling effect after repeated laundering.

The proportion of medium-molecular PE fiber will be adjusted for fabrics of different weights.
